As I am in the middle of a Sex and the City marathon (guilty pleasure for all almost-30 year-old females, right?), I find this topic oddly comforting. I may not be Carrie Bradshaw-worth of a shoecaholic, but I can definitely give her a run for the money. The major difference being: I tend to not spend a full paycheck on a pair of Manolo's.

I have been working for the same company for the last 7 years (Straight out of college! I know, talk about loyalty... so rare to find these days among other millennials!) and it has taken me a few of those to become comfortable with my own style. Along the way, I had to learn a few things...
A few months back, a co-worker of mine convinced me to join my company's Spartan Race team. He didn't talk it up much: he mentioned it's a long-ish run with a few fun obstacles. You know, no big deal. Something someone who runs as much as me should complete more than easily (read, you don't really need to train for it). Ha ha ha.
